Discover the world of mining in a mysterious, underground environ- ment. First, you visit an underground cinema, with a special atmosphere. There you see a unique 1960's promotion film from 'De Staats Mijnen' (DSM). This film will give you a good insight into all aspects of mining.

Fascinating After the film, a former miner guides you through the world of coal extraction. Experience the hard, but impressive world of the miners. It's as though you are travelling through time.

Each visit is different
Fourteen former miners, with a wealth of underground experience work in our coal mine as guides. Each guide tells his own story, with the necessary humour, reviving the atmosphere of days gone by. The demonstration of mining machines, which work via the specially- fitted, compressed-air installation contributes to this feeling. Due to the way it is set up, no special clothing is necessary in this underground adventure for young and old.

The coal mine and Jan Kruysen Gallery are also easily accessible for disabled people and visitors with wheelchairs.
